Strategic Planning
This two-day workshop guides leaders and managers through the complete strategic planning process — from identifying organizational values and crafting vision and mission statements, to conducting SWOT analyses, setting SPIRIT goals, assigning accountabilities, managing change, and communicating the finished plan. Participants leave equipped to build, implement, and sustain a strategic plan that aligns every level of the organization with a shared purpose.

Creating a Compelling Vision Statement With your values established, you are ready to look outward — and forward. Designing the vision is the process of imagining where you want the organization to be in **5 to 10 years**. Starting the Vision Process The vision is typically shaped by the owner, CEO, and sometimes the board of directors. To begin, set aside time to think freely and expansively. Grab a blank sheet of paper and list every idea, goal, and aspiration for the company — no matter how ambitious they sound. Suppress the internal editor that asks "how?" or "why not?". The goal at this stage is volume and imagination, not feasibility screening. Once you have your big-picture ideas, you can review them and identify which elements have the greatest potential to drive the company forward while staying true to your values. Elements a Vision Might Address For an existing organization, your vision could include statements such as: *"Our sales will increase by X%, making the company more viable."* *"Our customer retention will increase from 50% to 75%, resulting in more satisfied customers."* *"Increased financial success will facilitate expansion into neighboring markets."* Capturing the Vision in a Statement Your vision statement should be **short, clear, and understandable** so that every person connected to the organization knows where you are headed.
