Welcome to Microsoft Word Online training! This course covers everything you need to create professional documents using Word Online, the cloud-based version of Microsoft's flagship word processor. You'll learn how to get started with the interface, format text and paragraphs, work with images and objects, and finalize your documents with language tools, accessibility checks, comments, and co-authoring features. By the end of this course, you'll be comfortable using Word Online to produce polished, feature-rich documents.

Getting Started with Word Online Word Online is the cloud-based version of Microsoft's powerful word processing application, available as part of Office 365. Before you can start using it, you'll need to log into Office 365 with your Microsoft account. Logging In and Launching Word Online Open your browser and navigate to [https://login.microsoftonline.com](https://login.microsoftonline.com). Enter your Microsoft account name, click **Next**, enter your password, and click **Sign in**. You'll arrive at your Office 365 landing page. From there, simply click the **Word** icon to open Word Online in a new browser tab. Exploring the Interface The Word Online interface will look familiar if you've used Word on the desktop. Here are the key elements you'll see: **Navigation Commands** (top left): Access the app launcher, the app name, and breadcrumb links. **Title Bar**: Displays the current file name. Click it to rename your file. **Sharing Commands**: Share the current document or view your profile. **Tabs**: Click a tab name to reveal its ribbon commands. **Ribbon Interface**: Commands organized into groups. Some commands appear grayed out when they are unavailable in the current context. *Contextual tabs* appear only when you're working with a specific object, like a picture. **Working Area**: The content of your open document is displayed here. **Status Bar**: Shows page and word count, as well as zoom controls.
