Building a Presentation With the PowerPoint Online basics under your belt, it's time to build the framework of a real presentation. This involves managing your slides — adding new ones, choosing layouts, and organizing them effectively. Inserting New Slides To add a slide, click the desired location in the **Slides pane**, then click **Home → New Slide** or right-click in the Slides pane and select **New Slide**. The New Slide dialog will appear — select a layout and click **Add Slide**. Changing the Slide Layout If you want to change the layout of an existing slide, select it in the Slides pane and click **Home → Layout**. The Slide Layout dialog opens. Click your desired layout and click **Change Layout** to apply it immediately. Rearranging Slides You can change the order of slides by **clicking and dragging** them within the Slides pane. This is a quick way to restructure your presentation. Duplicating Slides To create an exact copy of a slide, right-click it and select **Duplicate Slide**, or use **Home → Duplicate** (shortcut: **Ctrl + D**). The duplicate is placed immediately after the original. Hiding and Showing Slides To hide a slide from the presentation without deleting it, right-click it in the Slides pane and click **Hide Slide**, or use **Home → Hide Slide**. A hidden slide's number will appear
