Microsoft Excel 365: Part 1
A comprehensive introduction to Microsoft Excel 365 Online. This course covers everything from navigating the Excel interface and managing workbooks, to working with formulas and functions, formatting worksheets, inserting pictures and shapes, organizing data with tables and charts, analyzing data with PivotTables, and finalizing workbooks with comments and worksheet management tools. Designed for users comfortable with Windows who want to get up to speed with Excel 365 Online.

Preview a lesson
Using Comments Comments are a key collaboration feature in Excel Online, allowing you and your colleagues to annotate cells with notes, questions, or feedback. Inserting a Comment 1. Select the **cell** you want to annotate. 2. Click **Review → New Comment**, use **Insert → Comment**, or right-click and choose **New Comment**. 3. The **Comments pane** opens on the right. Type your comment and click **Post**. A **red triangle** appears in the top-right corner of the cell to indicate a comment is attached. Click the **speech bubble icon** that appears when the cell is selected to view the comment. Showing and Hiding the Comments Pane The Comments pane opens automatically when you create a comment. Toggle it on or off at any time by clicking **Review → Show Comments**. Editing a Comment 1. Click the cell containing the comment. 2. Click the **speech bubble** icon to view it in the Comments pane. 3. Click **Review → Edit Comment**. 4. Make your changes and click **Post** to save. Deleting a Comment 1. Select the cell and click the speech bubble icon to open the comment. 2. Click **Review → Delete Comment** or click the **…** menu within the comment and choose **Delete thread**. The comment is removed immediately.
